Sabrina The Teenage Witch is getting a reboot, and as if that wasn't amazing enough news, it's from the same producers who created Riverdale. But before you get an idea in your head that this is going to be all funny cats and good times, the Netflix reboot of Sabrina is going to be super-creepy.Of course, the 90s TV series was based on the Archie comic, The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina, which is where this upcoming series takes most of its inspiration. So expect to be well and truly spooked.Sadly, production on this doesn't start until next month, so there's no release date yet. But we do know who is going to be starring in The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina.Sabrina SpellmanSabrina was played by Melissa Joan Hart in the 90s series, but taking on the role this time around is Kiernan Shipka, who has previously Starred in Mad Men and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.The official Archie Comic Twitter page broke the news in January.And showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (who also wrote the comic) added, "We're all such huge fans of Kiernan's work that when we started talking about who this new incarnation of Sabrina could be, her name was on everyone's wish list. This is a darker, more macabre version of Sabrina, and we're incredibly excited for people to see Kiernan make this iconic character her own."Aunt ZeldaBeth Broderick was our original Zelda, but Miranda Otto will be stepping into her shows for the reboot, according to The Wrap.You may recognize Miranda from Lord Of The Rings, in which she played Eowyn. Or more recently she appeared on Homeland as Alison Carr.Aunt HildaAunt Hilda was originally played by Caroline Rhea, but in very exciting reboot news, Lucy Davis will take on the role now! You may know Lucy best for playing Dawn in the original U.K. version of The Office, but she's more recently appeared in Wonder Woman.Deadline broke the news last week, and the original Hilda couldn't have been happier!SalemIt's hard to believe that anyone could replace the original Salem - voiced by Nick Bakay btw - but alas, someone has to.Enter this little fella...No word on the name of the cat/puppet/actor just yet.New character Mary WardellDoctor Who and Green Wing star Michelle Gomez has been cast to play villain Mary Warden, who is a demonic entity compelled to turn young Sabrina to the dark side.According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mary will start off the series as Sabrina's favorite teacher at Baxter High before being possessed by the devil's handmaiden Madam Satan. New character Ambrose SpellmanAmbrose Spellman, Sabrina's warlock cousin from England, is to be played by UK-born Chance Pedromo. This is Chance's first US TV role.
