Get a small-sized tour of historic New Orleans at this train garden
Within New Orleans' City Park lies this miniature train set that shows off the layout and history of the Crescent City in the early 19th century.
The historic New Orleans Train Garden at the Botanical Garden features typical New Orleans homes and building architecture made with botanical materials. It also features replicas of streetcars and trains for visitors overlooking the 1,300 feet of track.
Paul Busse designed and constructed the Train Garden layout. The renowned artisan is known for similar displays in New York City and Chicago.
Find the Train Garden on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and during Celebration in the Oaks.
Admission is included in the price to enter the Botanical Garden.
