Residents in Kenner said they heard a loud "boom" noise before a building erupted in flames Tuesday morning. Billowing black smoke was seen near the area of Toledano and Oxley streets about 7 a.m. Tuesday. A woman and her husband who lived nearby told WDSU that they heard two loud booms between 5 - 5:30 a.m. SEE ALSO: Images from the scene The building that was on fire is used to house parade floats, residents and officials told WDSU reporter Kelsey Davis.
