TODAY’S FLASHBACK FRIDAY WDSU HAS SEEN SO MANY ADVANCES AS A FIRST TV STATION IN THE STATE AND ALONG THE GULF COAST. AND ALL UNFOLDED IT AS OUR CAMERAS WERE ROLLI FNGROM INFRASUCTRTURE TO PIONEERS ON THE SCREEN. AND THIS MORNING WE ARE OUTLINING THAT GROWTH ANG THE CITY AND REGION THAT WE HAVE REPRESENTED FOR NEARLY 75 YEARS. PIANO DECISION EVERY NIGHT OF THE EKWE EVERY NIGHT EVERY MORNING AND MIDDAY WDSU HAS GROWN OVER THE YEARS ALL WHILE WATCHING ITS FLAGSHIP CITY NEW ORLEANS GROW AS WELL FROM THE BUILDING OF THE CRESCENT CITY CONNECTION BRIDGE TO NEW ORLEANS CITY HALL AND NEW NEIGHBORHOODS BEINGUILT B FROM THE DIRT UP LIKE LAKEVIEW IN GENTILLY. OUR CARAMES WERE ROLLING. EVEN CAPTURING THOSE BUSINESSES THAT AREN’T THERE ANYMO IREN THE LATTER HALF OF THE 20TH CENTURY WDSU WATCHED MOISSAN AIRPORT NOW ARMSTRONG INTERNATIONAL BEING BUILT PROVIDED THE FIRST LIVE ELECTION RESULTS. WE WERE EVEN AT THE WORLD’S FAIR AND WCHHI WUDS HAD THE ONLY WORKING TV STATION ON SEIT PROVIDING REPORTS. WE EVEN SPICED UP OUR BROADCASTS OVERHE T YEARS WSU HAS BEEN COOKING ON TELEVISION AS LONG AS ANY STATION IN AMERICA THE COOKING SHOWS AND HOMAGE TO THE FL. AND RICH CULRETU TTHA IS NEW ORLEANS FEATURING THE FIRST BLACK WOMAN TO HOST HER OWN COOKING SHOW LENA RICHARDS AND HER ASSISTANT MARIE MATTHEWS WO ULD CONTINUE ON THAT COOKING STAFF WORKING FORUDS W FOR ROUGHLY FOUR DECADES. I MEAN LIVE TELEVISION TOO, SO I DON’T THINK I SHOULD SAY THAT BUT A LOT OF THE ANNOUNCES THAT DID THE FOOD COMMERCIALS ON THEIR COOKING SHOW THEY WERE SNEAK OUT THE BACK DOOR AND GO OVER TO THE BAR AND GET A BLOODY MARY. THE GIVEN THE BOOST THEM UP IN ORDER TO DO THE COMMERCIAL SINCE IT WAS NO REHEARSAL, NO, NOTHING LIKE THAT. OTHER CELEBS CHEFS AND FAMOUS FACES WOULD ALL SO GRACE THESE DOORS BE THAT ON THE MYAN VARIETY SHOWS PRODUCED THAT THE ROYAL STREET OR AS SPECIAL GUESTS. AND COMING UP TONIGHT AT FIVE O’CLOCK.
