Dubbed the "Prime early access sale," the event is essentially a second Amazon Prime Day that's coming up on Oct. 11 and Oct. 12. Like other Prime Day sales, it will be a two-day event that features major discounts across all product categories like electronics, kitchen appliances, home decor, luggage and, of course, vacuum cleaners.
What's special about this Prime member-exclusive sale is that it's coming up just ahead of the holiday shopping season. Instead of waiting until Black Friday, this is your chance to both save big and check off your gift list months ahead of schedule, giving a whole new meaning to early holiday shopping. According to Jessica Teich, deputy editor at the Good Housekeeping Institute, we should expect to see huge savings on upright vacuums, stick vacuums, robot vacuums and vacuums for pet hair from brands like Bissel, Shark, Dyson and iRobot. As a matter of fact, the Good Housekeeping Institute's favorite vacuum from its best vacuum cleaners of 2022 product test — the Shark Apex Upright Vacuum Cleaner — is available on Amazon and on sale right now for 22% off, which is an even bigger discount than during Prime Day 2022 back in July.

"While we don’t know what will be on sale for Prime Day 2022 quite yet, historically, we’ve seen giant savings on upright and stick vacuums from Bissell, Shark and even Dyson, plus great deals on robot vacuums from Eufy, Roborock and iRobot Roombas during Prime Day with savings over 40% off in 2021 and over 50% in 2020 and 2022.” One look at the deals above and you'll see that Prime early access sale is already offering savings that hold up against those historic Amazon Prime Day savings.

When is the Amazon Prime early access sale?
Amazon's Prime Early Access Sale is happening on Oct. 11 and Oct. 12, according to an Amazon news release from Sept. 26. This is six weeks ahead of Black Friday, which is when Amazon and other retailers typically start to offer discounts for the holiday season. (Amazon's official 2022 Prime Day happened this summer on July 12 and July 13.)
What are the best Prime early access sale deals?
The newly announced event will be Amazon's first-ever Prime early access sale, so we don't know exactly what to expect quite yet. However, the company promises Black Friday-worthy savings across all product categories, including electronics, fashion, home, kitchen, pets, toys and Amazon devices, and the "lowest prices of the year" on select products from national brands.
If all of that is true, it looks like a second Amazon Prime Day, which featured over two million deals back in July. Teich says that she's looking for discounts similar to the best Prime Day deals on Apple products, including around 30% off AirPods and $100 off Apple Watches; kitchen appliances, including Instant Pots and over 30% off air fryers; and cleaning appliances, including 20% off select Bissell products and 40% off select robot vacuums.
