ONE IN THE HOT TUB, ANOTHER SLITHERING DOWN THE HALL. I LITERALLY WATCHED THE SNAKE LIKE SLITHER UNDER THIS PERSON’S DOOR, SO I KNOCKED ON THIS GENTLEMAN’S DOOR, AND HE CAME OUT AND I WAS LIKE, WELL, THERE’S A SNAKE IN YOUR ROOM. AND HE’S LIKE, YEAH, I SEE THAT. BUT HE, LIKE, GRABBED A PLUNGER TO TRY TO CATCH THE SNAKE. SHE WASN’T THE ONLY ONE REMOVING SNAKES. HE WAS GETTING OUT OF THE HOT TUB AND SAW A SNAKE TRYING TO GET OUT OF IT. SO HE WAS SCARED TO TOUCH IT. SO HE GRABBED HIS SHIRT, GRABBED THE SNAKE AND RESCUED IT OUT OF THE HOT TUB. A WASHINGTON, OZAUKEE PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT REPORT SAYS WHILE AN INSPECTOR WAS HERE AT THE HOTEL TESTING THE POOL AND AND THE HOT TUB, THEY DISCOVERED A SNAKE SKIN AND TOLD THE MANAGER TO CONTACT A PROFESSIONAL PEST CONTROL COMPANY. THE REPORT SAYS ONE STAFF MEMBER HYPOTHESIS CAUSED HOTEL GUESTS WERE LEAVING THE EXTERIOR FIRE EXIT DOORS OPEN. THE THOUGHT A PREGNANT SNAKE MAY HAVE SLITHERED INSIDE. THE HOTEL MANAGER NOT AVAILABLE TO SPEAK TO US THURSDAY. CAN YOU TELL ME ANYTHING ABOUT THE SNAKES ON THE PROPERTY? Guests at the Country Inn & Suites in Wisconsin said they found snakes swimming in the pool and hot tub, as well as slithering in a hallway over the weekend

Hotel guests at the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson in Germantown, Wisconsin, were stunned to run into some snakes over the weekend. Michelle Griese said she and her son booked a room on the first floor of the hotel Saturday.Griese said when they were getting ready to go swimming, that's when she discovered snakes in the pool and hot tub area. "Sure enough, I go in, and there's a snake in the hot tub," Griese said. Griese shared a video and photos of the snakes she found with sister station WISN. She said after leaving the pool, she also saw a snake in the hall. "I literally watched the snake slither under this person's door," Griese said. "I knocked on this gentleman's door, and he came out, and I was like, 'There's a snake in the room,' and he said, 'I see that.'"Griese said the man tried using a plunger to remove the snake from his hotel room. Michael Herhold, another hotel guest, said his friend saw a snake in the hotel hot tub. "He was getting out of the hot tub and saw a snake trying to get out of it, so he was scared to touch it, so he grabbed his shirt and grabbed the snake and rescued it out of the hot tub," Herhold said. The Washington Ozaukee Public Health Department sent an inspector on Tuesday, according to a report. The report said while the inspector was at the hotel testing the pool and the hot tub, they discovered a snakeskin and told the manager to contract a professional pest control company. A hotel general manager reportedly confirmed to the inspector that they were dealing with snakes over the weekend. The report said one staff member hypothesized hotel guests were leaving the exterior fire exits open and thought a pregnant snake may have slithered inside.The hotel manager was not available to speak to WISN on Thursday. Griese said after speaking to hotel staff, she will only receive half a refund. She said she will not stay at the hotel again."I think the thing that like threw me off the most is watching the snakes slither under the person's door and knowing that I was on the first floor," Griese said. "I was like, 'What would I have done if a snake slithered into my room?' My 4-year-old son is very adventurous, and he actually wanted to pick the snake up. So if it came into my room, all I can think of was that my son would want to pet the snake."Radisson Hotels did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Thursday.
