The race for a state house seat in New Orleans is heating up.St. Rep. Mandie Landry, a Democrat from the Freret area, is the incumbent and has drawn two challengers, both Democrats.Ed Carlson and Madison O'Malley.During the WDSU Hot Seat debate Landry and O'Malley sparred over residency issues and certain criminal justice reform-based pieces legislation.The seat is for District 91, which covers parts of Uptown, Central City and the Lower Garden District.
