Four candidates qualified for the race to become the next Washington Parish sheriff including the incumbent Randy Seal. Sheriff Seal and his challengers Jason Smith, Kenneth Martin Jr., and Scott "Reddog" Crain all showed up for the WDSU Hot Seat debate. They discussed plans on how to reduce crime, better train the deputies and how to solve the issue of the overcrowded jail in Washington Parish. Election day is October 14th.
