Aubry Killion
Investigative ReporterAubry Killion is an award-winning journalist who was born and raised in New Orleans.
Aubry started at WDSU in July of 2016. Since his start, Aubry has covered multiple stories that have gained national attention.
Aubry served as an anchor and reporter at KTBS in Shreveport and KFSM in Fort Smith, AR.
While away from home, Aubry covered deadly tornadoes and pioneered an investigation that led to the conviction of a local treasurer stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from tax payers.
Aubry is a Brother Martin High School graduate. He graduated from Ole Miss with a degree in broadcast journalism.
While Aubry was at Ole Miss, he was a cheerleader performing in front of 60,000 people. Aubry also competed in national competitions covered by ESPN.
While in college, Aubry interned at TV stations in New Orleans and Memphis.
Aubry won a Robert F. Kennedy human justice award in 2013 for his work overseas in San Mateo, Belize. He produced a multimedia in-depth report and five-part television series showing a neglected community less than a mile from beautiful resort beaches. People lived without running water and sewers, and traveled in and out of their neighborhood on small plank bridges over dangerously contaminated water.
Aubry also won an onsite reporting award at the Southeastern Journalism Conference in 2012.
Aubry is a true New Orleanian. He experienced Katrina first hand after his Lakeview home flooded. He and his family quickly rebuilt.
