OKAY WELL OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS, A LOT OF YOU WILL BE SEPARATING THOSE BEADS PARADE THROWS OUT INTO A PILE, MAYBE TO DONATE THIS MORNING. NEW ORLEANS AT THIS MORNING. THE NEW ORLEANS ERNEST MORIAL CONVENTION CENTER AND ARC OF GREATER NEW ORLEANS SPOKE ABOUT THE EFFORT TO RECYCLE THOSE BEADS AS MANY OF YOU DONATE GROUPS DONATE TO GROUPS AROUND THE REGION. NEW ORLEANS CITY LEADERS SAY THEY ARE DOING THE SAME FROM THE AFTERMATH OF PARADES AND BALLS IN THE CONVENTION CENTER, WE HAVE 50 BINS THAT ARC OF NEW OF GREATER NEW ORLEANS WILL COME AND COLLECT, FULL OF THROWS AND BEADS AND ALL THESE THINGS THAT WILL BE PART OF MARDI GRAS NEXT YEAR. THE CARNIVAL WASTE WILL RESULT IN 5,400 POUNDS BEING RECYCLED

Bead recycling underway after Mardi Gras
Over the next few days, many people across New Orleans will be separating their parade throws into piles to donate them. On Wednesday at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, the Arc of Greater New Orleans spoke about the ongoing effort to recycle beads. So far, 50 bins have been filled with throws and beads that will be used again for Mardi Gras 2025.

Over the next few days, many people across New Orleans will be separating their parade throws into piles to donate them.
