The New Orleans Pelicans have acquired the draft rights to Antonio Reeves (47th overall pick in 2024 NBA Draft) from the Orlando Magic in exchange for future draft compensation.Reeves, 6-5, 187, averaged 20.2 points on .512 shooting, including .447 from three, 4.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game during the 2023-24 at the University of Kentucky. Reeves was the SEC’s third-leading scorer, earning All-SEC First Team and All-America Third Team honors. Reeves was also a finalist for the Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year Award and one of 15 players on the John R. Wooden Award National Ballot. The Chicago, Ill., native was named Southeastern Conference Sixth Man of the Year for the 2022-23 season.Reeves played five collegiate seasons at Kentucky (two) and Illinois State (three), holding career averages of 15.1 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists while shooting .384 from deep and .801 from the foul line.
