BOYD ALSO SAYS THAT THE PARTY NOT ONLY HAS TO MAINTAIN ITS CHRONIC VOTERS, BUT ALSO REACH OUT FOR PEOPLE WHO MAY NOT VOTE AS OFTEN AND STRETCH THE ELECTORAL MAP.

A Louisiana state representative is confident that Kamala Harris has what it takes to win the presidential election in November. State Rep. Delisha Boyd said Harris has many strengths on her side despite a short campaign timeline. According to Boyd, one of those strengths is inheriting Biden's campaign funding. "Any new candidate wouldn't have access to those funds," Boyd said. Boyd said Harris' challenge will be maintaining the voters who planned on voting for Biden, as well as expanding the electoral map by reaching people who don't vote as often.
