Major 2024 Emmy snubs: Who missed out on nominations?
The nominations for the 2024 Emmy Awards were released on July 17 with “Shōgun” and “The Bear” leading the number of nominations. Despite several performances being recognized from “The Bear” and numerous other television shows during the eligibility period, many performances were snubbed from the 2024 Emmys.Here is a list of performances that were snubbed:Ella Purnell for Best Actress in a Drama for “Fallout”While “Fallout” gained a nomination for Best Drama and Walton Goggins gained a nomination for Best Actor in a Drama for his role in the show, Ella Purnell was left out of the nominations.Cosmo Jarvis for Best Actor in a Drama for “Shōgun”Despite “Shōgun” leading the number of nominations at the 2024 Emmy Awards, along with a majority of the cast gaining nominations, Cosmo Jarvis was not recognized for his work on the show. Jennifer Jason Leigh for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama for “Fargo”Despite a majority of the cast being nominated for their roles on “Fargo,” Jennifer Jason Leigh was not nominated for her role.Abby Elliot for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy for “The Bear”Abby Elliot was not recognized for her work in “The Bear” despite all her co-stars being nominated for their respective roles in the Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor and Actress categories.
