The United States set a world record Friday in the mixed 4x400 meter relay.

The team of Vernon Norwood, Shamier Little, Bryce Deadmon and Kaylyn Brown finished the four laps with a blazing time of 3 minutes, 7.41 seconds, breaking a world record that was set just last year.

The run will get the Americans into Saturday's final, where that record may be in jeopardy again.
