Hello, friends. I'm meteorologist Jims and we just received new information from the National Hurricane Center. The 10 o'clock advisory on tropical depression number four, still *** tropical depression winds at 35 MPH. Now, up from 30 in the last advisory may become *** tropical storm later on today. I'll show you that latest advisory coming up here in just *** moment. First, let's talk short term weather because we're already starting to see *** few showers develop there. You see one north of Baton Rouge. Then there's been *** big cluster of thunderstorms in the Gulf that we've been watching that's moving slowly to the south, but we're going to have numerous showers developing for us today. Chance of rain officially about 60 to 70%. Obviously, the heat is on. We have an excessive heat warning for all the areas that you see outlined in the red. The area is outlined in the orange. That's *** heat advisory. But across the board, wherever you are, heat index is going to be well over 110 this afternoon, let's go to the tropics because there are *** couple of tropical waves out there in the intertropical convergence zone. But the only thing about the hurricane center is right now concerned about is obviously tropical depression. Number 4 may become tropical storm Debbie. Later on today, it's about 700 miles away from us. According to the last advisory from the hurricane center, the center of it and it's tough to pick it out, but the center of it is about 40 miles southeast of Havana Cuba. Now, here's the advisory and I'm going to zoom in on this in just *** second. He'd give you *** better look, but not much has changed. With this advisory. Hurricane center still believes it's going to become *** very healthy tropical storm Sunday into Monday, maybe even *** borderline category one hurricane. The track has changed very little as far as we're concerned. It looks like any effects that we're going to get from. This would be fringe effects. And quite frankly, I don't even think we're going to see fringe effects from this system. I was actually hoping that we might have some drier air coming in on the backside, but I don't think that's going to happen. It's gonna be *** rain maker for Florida, that's for sure. Here are the computer models. Again, they've been very consistent over the last few runs. Obviously, this is gonna be *** big concern for Florida, anywhere from Naples up to Tampa. And obviously in the Panhandle Jacksonville, it could receive anywhere from 5 to 10 inches of rain. Our forecast includes *** pretty good chance for rain today. Just want to show you how it's gonna play out. Once we get to about 3330 there, you see showers and thunderstorms getting fairly numerous by the late afternoon, getting *** bit more numerous. Again, chance for rain officially, about 60 to 70% today. And then tomorrow chance for rain goes down to about 40%. Look at the afternoon, tomorrow, it's going to be hot, high temperature in the mid, maybe even upper 90 s in *** couple of spots probably going to have an excessive heat warning or heat advisory again tomorrow and not *** lot of rain tomorrow afternoon to cool it down. So that excessive heat warning is in effect until seven o'clock, numerous showers and thunderstorms in the forecast. Today, tomorrow, chance for rain goes down to 40% 30% Monday and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday due to the absence of rain and obviously the hot temperatures that we're seeing right now are going to stay in place. We're going to have weather alert days, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday as high as are going to be in the mid to upper nineties all the way through Friday. That's your W DS U first warning forecast. Of course, if tropical depression four becomes *** tropical storm, we'll let you know first on social media. And of course, right here at W DS u.com
