DEBBY HAS MADE LANDFALL. RAVEN YES, IT HAS. SO NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER HAS CONFIRMED THAT YES, DEBBY MADE LANDFALL IN STEINHATCHEE, FLORIDA. I BELIEVE I’M SAYING THAT CORRECTLY, BUT LOOK AT ALL THE RAIN THEY’VE BEEN GETTING OVER THE PAST SEVERAL HOURS. SO THIS THING HAS JUST CONTINUED TO CHURN OVER, AND IT’S GOING TO CONTINUE TO MAKE ITS WAY THROUGH FLORIDA. JUST OVER THE TOP OF IT, INTO GEORGIA, OUT INTO THE ATLANTIC, AND THEN BRIEFLY BACK INTO THE EAST COAST. SO THE CAROLINAS LIKELY GOING TO BE THE NEXT FOLKS INVOLVED IN A ROUND OF WATCHES AND WARNINGS AND EXPECT A LOT OF RAIN TO MOVE WITH THIS SYSTEM. ALSO, SOMETHING ELSE HAPPENING. TRACKING THE TROPICS SOME MORE. LOOKING AT A TROPICAL WAVE NEAR THE LESSER ANTILLES. 30% CHANCE OF SEEING SOME DEVELOPMENT HAPPENING WITHIN THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS. SO THIS ONE, THE TRACK OF IT TAKING IT TO THE WEST. SO WE’LL KEEP WATCHING THIS ONE LIKELY GOING TO HAVE SOME MORE BETTER PICTURE OF THIS AS WE GET TO THE END OF THE WEEK ON INTO NEXT WEEK. SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR THAT. SO I DO WANT TO FOCUS BACK IN ON THE TEMPERATURES I’M SHOWING THIS AGAIN, JUST IN CASE YOU MISSED IT. LOOKING AT OUR ACTUAL TEMPERATURES, THE ACTUAL FORECASTED HIGHS, AND THEN THE RECORD TEMPERATURE SO FORECASTED HIGH FOR TODAY, 98. BUT THE RECORD 100, THIS WAS SET BACK IN 2023. THAT IS THE SAME FOR TOMORROW. AND THAT RECORD WAS SET BACK IN 2023. SO VERY HOT HERE LAST YEAR. THIS WEEK LIKELY GOING TO BE EXACTLY THE SAME. SO TOMORROW FORECASTED HIGH OF 100. SO IT’S VERY LIKELY WE COULD BREAK THAT. WE COULD BREAK THE RECORD OR IN ANY OF THESE DAYS ON WEDNESDAY IS EXPECTED TO BREAK THE RECORD. SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR THAT. THIS WILL BE A BIG WEATHER MAKER, BIG WEATHER STORY AS WE’RE HEADING INTO THE REST OF THIS WEEK. BUT AS OF RIGHT NOW, LOOKING AT A HEAT ADVISORY FOR EVERYONE, THIS IS ALSO THE CASE FOR TOMORROW. NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ALREADY DECLARED TOMORROW A HEAT ADVISORY DAY, 10 A.M. TO 7 P.M., FEELING AS WARM AS 112 DEGREES. SO THAT IS ALSO GOING TO BE THE CASE FOR TOMORROW. EVEN RIGHT NOW. THIS MORNING, STARTING OFF TO THE 70S AND SOME 80S, IT’S ON THE MUGGY SIDE. I WILL SAY. THEN LATER ON TODAY, EXPECTING TO BE INTO THE MID TO UPPER 90S FOR YOU. SO FORECASTED HIGHS, THEY ARE REALLY GETTING UP THERE. AND THEN AS FAR AS THE REST OF THE FORECAST GOES FOR YOU, WHAT WE’RE GOING TO SEE MORE ONE HUNDRED’S AS WE’RE HEADING HERE ON OUT. SO JUST BE PREPARED FOR THAT. MORE IMPACT DAYS AND POSSIBLY SO

Louisiana is not in the path of Hurricane Debby as the system is forecast to move north and then northeast over the Florida panhandle on Monday, because it's being steered by high pressure to the east and a trough to the north.Because Debby will be passing well to our east, this will place us on the dry side of the storm because the air typically sinks more on the left side. That, along with northerly winds off a warm landmass, will not only keep us dry, but also keep temperatures very hot. In fact, we could see highs near 100 early next week.
