Training camp is just flying by for the New Orleans Saints.The team has now completed nine practices in Irvine, Calif..The offense won practice nine over the defense.Quarterback Derek Carr had a very good day in team drills, including a nice slot fade touchdown pass to running back Alvin Kamara.Carr made only one mistake which came on his final throw of practice.Carr was looking for receiver Stanley Morgan Jr. in the end zone and the ball was intercepted by cornerback Alontae Taylor.The pass was thrown into double coverage as both Taylor and cornerback Paulson Adebo had Morgan covered.Rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler had his best day, throwing four touchdowns in team drills.Receiver Rashid Shaheed didn't practice because of hamstring tightness.Head coach Dennis Allen said they held him out as a precautionary move.Linebacker Demario Davis (hamstring), cornerback Marshon Lattimore (hip flexor) and running back Kendre Miller (hamstring) all missed practice as well.The Saints will return to the practice field on UC Irvine's campus Sunday morning.
