Once tragically left abandoned inside a box, a red fox is now getting a new life at the Cincinnati Zoo. The zoo posted to its Facebook page earlier this month that it was called after a red fox was found abandoned inside a box at an apartment complex. They said he was taken in by an Ohio wildlife rehabilitator who later brought the fox to the Cincinnati Zoo.The zoo said the fox will soon become an ambassador animal for his species.After taking suggestions for a name for the red fox, the zoo ultimately decided between two options, Bandit and Scamper.They announced on Monday they decided to go with Scamper, or Scamp for short. The zoo said they want to take this opportunity to tell people wild and exotic animals are not meant to be pets.Scamper is behind the scenes for now but the zoo will update on their social media pages when he's set to make his debut.
