ONE AS STUDENTS HEAD BACK TO CLASS. YES IT IS. IT ALREADY KIND OF LOOKS STEAMY OUTSIDE RIGHT NOW, EVEN THOUGH WE ARE SEEING THE SUNSHINE KIND OF SEE THE HAZE BACK THERE IN THE BACKGROUND. SO AS WE GO THROUGHOUT THE DAY, IT’S JUST GOING TO GET WARMER AND WARMER. WE KNOW THAT, BUT IT’S GOING TO GET EVEN HOTTER AS WE GET TO WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. SO STARTING OFF YOUR FORECAST, YOUR TEMPERATURES RIGHT NOW, WE’RE ALL INTO THE 70S AND SOME 80S UPPER 80S AND SOME LOWER 70S. SO BIG TEMPERATURE RANGE HERE ON THE MAP FOR 72 BOGALUSA. BUT THEN YOU LOOK ALL THE WAY DOWN TO PORT FOURCHON LOOKING AT 88 DEGREES. YOU GUYS HAVE REALLY BEEN HEATING UP THIS MORNING. AND THEN 84 LAKEFRONT BELLE CHASSE LOOKING AT 78 OH HOUMA 77, YOUR HIGHS FOR TODAY LOOK LIKE THIS. GOT SOME MID 90S TO SOME UPPER 90S, CLOSE TO 100. AND THEN ALONG THE COAST YOU’RE LOOKING AT SOME LOWER 90S. SO AGAIN ANOTHER BIG TEMPERATURE DIFFERENCE IN THE FORECAST FOR US. BUT STILL GOING TO GET VERY HOT. WE’RE ALL GOING TO BE JUST ABOUT ABOVE AVERAGE FOR THIS TIME OF THE YEAR. I DO WANT TO SHOW THE DEW POINT, BUT SHOWING THIS FOR YOU ALL MORNING LONG. SO THIS WEEKEND, THIS PAST WEEKEND, WE WEREN’T TOO BAD. BUT I DO WANT TO SHOW YOU, AS WE GET TO WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY REALLY INTO THE REST OF THE WEEK, THOSE DEW POINTS WILL CONTINUE TO RISE FOR US. SO THINGS WILL START TO FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE ONCE AGAIN. I WOULD I WOULD SAY IT WAS SAFE TO SAY OVER THE WEEKEND IT WAS KIND OF COMFORTABLE, BUT TODAY NOT TERRIBLE OUTSIDE. IT’LL GET WORSE, THOUGH. A TEMPERATURE OUTLOOK SHOWING THAT WE’RE STILL GOING TO BE ABOVE AVERAGE AS WE DO HEAD INTO THE NEXT 8 TO 10 DAYS. SO THAT’S NOT CHANGING. SO LIKELY TEMPERATURES GOING TO BE INTO THE MID TO UPPER 90S HERE ON NOW AS FAR AS RADAR GOES FOR YOU THIS MORNING. HAD A LOT MORE SHOWERS OUT HERE FOR YOU. BUT AS OF RIGHT NOW IT DOESN’T LOOK LIKE TOO MANY ARE LEFT. JUST KIND OF FADING OUT FOR US THIS MORNING. ELSEWHERE THOUGH, WE ARE JUST FINE AS WE DO HEAD INTO THE AFTERNOON AGAIN. THOSE CHANCES FOR SOME SHOWERS POPPING UP. WE’RE GETTING BACK INTO THAT SUMMER-LIKE PATTERN WHERE YOU GET THE DAYTIME HEATING, THE AFTERNOON HEATING, GET SOME POP UPS HAPPENING FOR YOU. THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT WILL BE GOING ON FOR US. AND EVEN WITHIN THIS, WE COULD HAVE SOME THUNDERSTORMS, EVEN SOME GUSTS UP TO 30 TO 40MPH. SO IT COULD GET BREEZY OUT THERE. IF YOU DO GET A SHOWER OR THUNDERSTORM OVER YOUR AREA, MAYBE TEMPORARILY COOLING YOU OFF FOR A SECOND, AND THEN IT’S GOING TO HEAT RIGHT BACK UP BECAUSE THAT’S NOT GOING TO LAST FOR FOREVER. THEN, EVEN FOR TONIGHT, MAYBE SOME OF THE RIVER PARISHES NORTH SHORE STILL SEEING A COUPLE OF LINGERING SHOWERS AFTER THAT. WE’RE FINE. TUESDAY AFTERNOON. KIND OF THE SAME DEAL FOR US THIS AFTERNOON. POP UP SHOWERS HAPPENING. AND THEN AS WE GET INTO WEDNESDAY, THE SAME THING. BUT WEDNESDAY WE WILL GET WARMER. IT’S GOING TO FEEL WARMER. HUMIDITY IS RISING AS WELL. SO NEXT 12 HOURS FOR YOU. YOUR HEAT INDEX GOING TO BE INTO THE TRIPLE DIGITS FOR YOU. THAT PART’S NOT GOING TO CHANGE. AND THEN GETTING A CHECK OF THE TROPICS. HERE’S WHAT THIS SAYS. LOOKING LIKE POTENTIAL. POTENTIAL TROPICAL CYCLONE FIVE LIKELY GOING TO CONTINUE TO GAIN STRENGTH. LOOKS LIKE IT WILL BE A CATEGORY TWO. NOW THE PATH THAT THIS GOING TO TAKE IT RIGHT NEAR PUERTO RICO. SO THEY’RE ALREADY LOOKING AT A LOT OF RAIN HAPPENING FOR THAT AREA OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. ALL RIGHT. SO YOUR WDSU FIRST WARNING SEVEN-DAY FORECAST MID TO UPPER 90S FOR YOU WI
