Slidell police officers praised for helping mother in need
Two Slidell officers are being praised online for their act of kindness to a mother in need.
The Slidell Police Department shared a post on Facebook touting the officer's actions after they noticed a disabled mother's young children opening the front door of their home while they responded to a call.
"Without hesitation, Officer O’Neill and Officer Karsolich went to the store and purchased child safety door knob covers, then went back and installed them on all the doors for the mom. Now, the children will be safe, and the mom doesn’t have to worry," the post said in part.
The police department said the officer's actions were what community policing is all about and called it "a =AZVWBEX4ZNMOA4O4ZPLvik0DpDLbAnPgW84sJkMXziJQn49FjvJox_EuptIAE_63Q9OSw7Mg-mULC3D9tHwsZ6omUqE_3gnQUVVKs-fVNN2AdgrTzPULMflES9jvmN_xcLWVtJ95w7ds7oAgM2USulzkCEOPixD9OhMtI6SIXQS_xD_D0VCrWoTpYC4WcIZ71hw&__tn__=*NK-R" role="link" tabindex="0">#SlidellFinests moment."
