On Feb. 18, JPSO said Singleton died after he accidentally stabbed himself trying to open a can of food. Traylor is accused of placing a bandage on his wound instead of calling 911 and then taking the rest of Singleton's family out to eat, according to JPSO.JPSO said when Traylor returned, Singleton was dead. Traylor is also accused in the fatal shooting of Singleton's brother, Robert Singleton, earlier this year. The Orleans Parish District Attorney refused charges against Traylor in that case. District Attorney Jason William's office issued the following statement regarding the decision to refuse charges in the shooting: “In order to institute a murder charge against a defendant it must first be indicted by grand jury. After the presentation to the grand jury, they may choose to indict, not indict or pretermit - meaning they can’t agree either way or feel they don’t have enough evidence to make a decision. The Traylor investigation was presented to a grand jury consistent with the law. The outcome of this presentation was pretermit. As such the charges were refused.”Court records show Traylor was booked and is being held on a $650,000 bond on charges of manslaughter, cruelty to the infirm, and failure to seek assistance.
