The Slidell Police Department has arrested a woman accused of embezzling from an elementary school parent-teacher organization. According to police, officers helped the Picayune School District Police Department arrest Angela Moody, 46, of Slidell. Moody is accused of embezzling over $16,000 from the Roseland Park Elementary Parent Teacher Organization in Pearl River County, Mississippi. Moody used to work for the Picayune School District as a teacher aide.Moody has been under investigation in Picayune since May, and officers said she used the embezzled funds to open a new restaurant in Pearl River.Moody was taken into custody and was booked into the Slidell City Jail. She will be taken to Mississippi to face the embezzlement charges.
