Coming from our sister station in Jackson, Mississippi, Alvin Moore joined WDSU in December 2007 to continue his career as a photojournalist. Although his career started in the great state of Mississippi, he has covered many major events in the city of New Orleans and the surrounding Metropolitan area. While Alvin loves to tell stories with his images, shooting sports is his greatest passion and community building is his greatest love in the business of photojournalism. From his electrifying shot of Tracy Porter’s pick 6 that led to the 2009 Super Bowl victory for the New Orleans Saints to meeting and telling stories of everyday people; Moore is grateful for the life experiences afforded to him through the business of photojournalism. Alvin Moore is also a still-photographer who loves every aspect of storytelling through the lens of his camera.
