It's now an official rule of television: Every single show that aired in the 1990s must be revived. Now that Full House, Roseanne and Will & Grace, among so many others, are coming back for a new generation (and their parents), it's time for another show to get the same treatment: the TGIF (and later, WB) classic Sister Sister.
Tia Mowry told Nylon that she and Tamera are trying to get a revival off the ground, but it's taking a lot of work so far. "We're looking, right now, for a producer and a writer, someone who can kind of be a leader of the pack in regards to running the show," she told the magazine. "I thought people would kind of be jumping on it, but it's a lot harder than my sister and I thought it would be. Everything in my career has always been a challenge."
The final episode of Sister, Sister featured Tia's mom Lisa getting married and Tia and Tamera are studying at the University of Michigan, so there's a lot of plot to come up with in between then and now. Tia told Nylon that she hopes to model the characters after what she and her sister are up to now. Tia is busy hosting Tia Mowry at Home on the Cooking Channel, while Tamera is a co-host on the talk show The Real. And don't forget about Smart Guy: their brother, Tahj, is starring on the Freeform show Baby Daddy.
And here's a fact: Lisa's husband, Victor, was played by Richard Lawson, who is now stepdad to none other than Beyoncé and Solange. Here's hoping the Mowrys can snag some A-List cameos!
