Doug Fain is a Mandeville, LA, native who came to WDSU in October 2012 from WVLA in Baton Rouge. He is the weekday photographer, often working with reporter Jennifer Crockett.

In his spare time, he likes watching different kinds of sports, but loves the New Orleans Saints the most. He also has Pelican season tickets.

He has covered two hurricanes, Gustav and Isaac, the 2013 LSU College World Series in Omaha, 2014 Saints Training Camp in West Virginia and 2019 Peach Bowl in Atlanta. He also has award winning coverage for the Cruise Ship Crisis and tanker truck explosion. He’s also Emmy-nominated for coverage of the Rex House fire.
