Bryan McCann has been a photojournalist with WDSU for more than nine years. He is a New Orleans native, married for 31 years with two kids and two dogs. McCann received several awards for breaking news coverage of the Hubig’s Pie factory fire in 2012, including the Edward R. Murrow Award and the SPJ Sigma Delta Chi Award and Bronze Medallion. McCann is most proud of his photo essay stories, including “Holt Cemetery," “Creole Christmas," “Chalmette Battlefield," “Light the Night," and "St. Joseph’s Day Mardi Gras Indians." Bryan has a video production background and enjoys using his lighting techniques to make a story more impactful.
