Maddalena, a sergeant in the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit, took silver in the women’s 50-meter three-position rifle event. Switzerland's Chiara Leone edged out Maddalena for gold.“This is really special,” the 30-year-old said of her silver medal. “There are no words to describe the opportunity coming to fulfillment.”Maddalena last competed in the Tokyo Olympics, where she finished fifth.

Sharpshooter Sagen Maddalena has won silver at the Paris Olympics, the first U.S. shooting medal of 2024.

Maddalena, a sergeant in the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit, took silver in the women’s 50-meter three-position rifle event.

Switzerland's Chiara Leone edged out Maddalena for gold.

“This is really special,” the 30-year-old said of her silver medal. “There are no words to describe the opportunity coming to fulfillment.”

Maddalena last competed in the Tokyo Olympics, where she finished fifth.
