Netflix's darker "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" series is finally shooting in Vancouver, meaning it was only a matter of time before the first set photo of Kiernan Shipka's Sabrina Spellman and Ross Lynch's Harvey Kinkle surfaced. And it does not disappoint: the two were shot in character, holding hands while filming. They've got a cute chemistry between them, one that seems to be reminiscent of the original duo played by Melissa Joan Hart and Nate Richert.This is the first glimpse at styling on the show and how great Sabrina's wardrobe is going to look. Shipka wears Sabrina's signature black headband from Archie's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina comics, a black turtleneck, red mini skirt and a red coat with black tights.While the two may look innocent in the set photo, the show has a relatively dark premise. As Entertainment Weekly described Sabrina's character in the horror-based coming of age series in January, "Sabrina is just beginning her dark education as a sorceress, even as she tries to maintain a normal life as a sophomore at Baxter High. Intelligent, compassionate, and brave to the point of recklessness, Sabrina is all that stands between us and the forces of darkness that threaten our world." Harvey, meanwhile, is the son of a coal miner, Deadline reported, blissfully unaware of Sabrina's powers."Riverdale" showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa is executive-producing the series. Its release date hasn't been announced yet.
