Morgan Lentes
AnchorMorgan moved to New Orleans after spending four years working in Louisville, Kentucky at WLKY, a sister station to WDSU. She started as a reporter and was eventually promoted to weekend morning anchor. That experience has helped her feel at home in her new role in the Big Easy.
In Louisville, Morgan covered major events like the Kentucky Derby, the death of Muhammad Ali and March Madness. But it was her reporting on the opioid epidemic that earned her an Emmy-nomination.
Morgan was born and raised in southeast Ohio, not far from Athens, where LSU quarterback Joe Burrow grew up. She attended Ohio University and graduated with degrees in journalism and history. In addition to interning at a local television station, Morgan spent a semester in New York City working for the Today Show.
When she's not on air, Morgan loves to be outdoors. She is an avid runner, who also enjoys exploring new places. That is part of the reason she was drawn to New Orleans - a historic city synonymous with unique experiences.
Morgan looks forward to embracing all things NOLA, except the summer heat!
