Deja Brown joined WDSU in September of 2021 as the weekday morning traffic anchor and breaking news reporter.

Prior to joining WDSU, Deja spent 2 years in Joplin, Missouri as the weekday morning anchor for KSNF-TV.

A native New Orleanian, Deja is a die-hard Saints fan! She is a graduate of North Carolina A&T State University and has a Master's degree from Syracuse University.

Deja has always had a passion for storytelling and jokingly says she's been a journalist since she was 10, when she began reporting for her school's morning newscast in the fourth grade. That passion has fueled many of her journalistic endeavors and contributed to her becoming an award-winning journalist.

Deja is a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., and The National Association of Black Journalists.

In her spare time she enjoys traveling and giving back to the community.

Fun fact: Her heart is on the right side instead of the left!
